Dan Holden

Dan Holden is the founding partner of Holden Capital, with responsibility for structuring and arranging senior debt, mezzanine debt, and equity facilities for his clients’ property-based developments and investments. Dan’s core strengths are in Construction Finance and Joint Ventures.

Prior to starting HoldenCAPITAL, Dan’s previous roles include over six years in finance consultancy and funds management, most with the national firm Ashe Morgan Winthrop, where he started in 2007 and survived the challenging market conditions of the Global Financial Crisis. Prior to that, Dan spent over 5 years as a Development Manager for a medium sized property development firm. His responsibilities covered the full range of roles in property development, from concept through to completion, including acquisition, feasibility, market analysis, product mix selection, technical due diligence, planning marketing and sales management, finance procurement, construction management all the way through  to settlement.

Dan’s competitive edge is that he has worked on both sides of the transaction, which allowed him to understand both the Property Development and also the Financing aspects of a transaction. Since 2007, Dan has worked as a consultant on projects with a combined end value of over $3billion. With over 15 years industry experience, he has cemented long standing relationships with key people within the major banks and lending institutions, and a great network of property market participants including developers, valuers, construction companies, investors, commercial agents and project marketers, which allows him to add value to projects in more ways than just the best finance.

Dan also completed his Master’s in Business whilst working fulltime throughout 2010-2012, this combined with his long pedigree of successful business gave Dan the confidence to start his own firm, even in the slower market conditions of 2011.

Dan prides himself on providing concise and direct advice and his ability maximize opportunities on debt and equity structures for each transaction.
